Credits: The photo of Brennan's Corner used on this site is property of my cousin John Brennan of Berkeley and is used with his permission. The two gentlemen about at center, one in a white apron and one in a light hat and leaning on the door frame, are James and John Brennan, my great great grandfather Edward Joseph's older brothers. James and John owned and ran the saloon located at University and San Pablo in Berkeley. (Edward was a teetotaler; he ran the Brennan livery stable next door.) This photo must have been taken between 1871 when John arrived in Berkeley and 1890 when James died. John is my cousin John's great grandfather.
